Betulacostata trautv, a kind of hardwoods, is one of use of higher-value in our country nowadays. The lumber of Betulacostata trautv is easy processed and suitable for lathe slicing, applied to plywood, furniture, wooden floor and interior decoration. However, shortcomings like easily corroded Therefore, the application is limited. This study can change the color of Betulacostata trautv to or access to the color of precious essence through induced discoloration.It is aimed to make cheap quality of wood desired bright colors and patterns and make the color of wood uniform,therefore improving the quality of wood. Its meaning is solving the use of cheap quality and quick trees and improving the bracket and the use value of the timber,and also getting the surface of the wood and its products accord to the visual of people.For the high-temperature steam processing on the Influence of induced discoloration Betula costata Betulacostata trautv, this paper carried on the quantification-test and qualitative test.of the extracts and studied the mechanism of discoloration before and after treatment through the infrared spectroscopy,UV-VIS,gas-mass spectrometry,Also Carrying on high temperature steaming experiment to the wood, and then looking into the effects of discoloration. At last this paper analysed the results of induced discolration during different conditions of treatment.The results showed:The effects are comparative visible to prove it feasible to induce discoloration. Extracts were abundant in Betulacostata trautv, and the sapwood color and heartwood color can be coincident. The variation of wood color tended to be red colors.The mechanism of Betulacostata trautv on the Induced Discoloration had been preliminarily explored by means of observing under the infrared spectrum.The hydroxyl (-OH) is oxidized and transmitted to the carbonyl (-C=O), and timber in the conjugate group increased, baldheads material, ketenes and the increasing concentration of acid substances, such as phenol compounds to reduce the concentration,those discoloration occured in Betulacostata trautv. And Researching the best induced discoloration process condition,which was 0.35MPa,6h.This paper studied the mechanism of the thermal-induced discoloration of Brauns lignin for the first time.The results showed that conjugation groups increased and conjugation system longed,which made the color of lignin dark.Both the extractive and lignin made the color of Betulacostata Trautv dark.
