For the first time the embryogenic calluses have been induced from the mature zygotic embryos of Pinus bungeana, and then successfully proliferated in the experiments.In this thesis, mature zygotic embryos of Pinus bungeana were used as explants to initiate the somatic embryogenesis processes, experiments were taken for inducing, proliferating and maturing the embryogenic calluses(EC), investigations on both explants and embryogenic calluses have been made. The results show below:DCR medium shows the best effect while inducing the embryogenic calluses by mature zygotic embryos from the 4 mediums including MS,1/2MS, DCR, and TE; high concentrations of 2,4-D and low for 6-BA show good results in inducing embryogenic calluses.Adding casein hydrolysate (CH) and Glutamine, culturing in dark and collecting from younger trees all show positive effects as well as 2g/L activated carbon act in a negative way while trying for collecting embryogenic calluses.IBA+NAA has been proved to be effective in maintenance and proliferation the embryogenic calluses.Observations on explants, embryogenic calluses and non-embryogenic calluses have been taken, and then described in details.
