In the recent years, the number of people infected with rabies virus has been increasing, which does great harm to people lives and the development of national economic. Rabies virus mainly infects dogs and other animals. The different kinds and ages of canines were vaccinated with homemade or imported rabies vaccines. The serum antibody titers in immunized canins were detected by using ELISA method. The immune prevention for canine rabies was further discussed. The positive rates among the canines immunized with homemade vaccines were generally 6.3% lower than those in the canines immunized with imported vaccines. On the other hand, the rabies antibody titers induced by the single vaccine were higher than those by multi-vaccines in the same experimental way. Among canines with the different ages, the positive rate of canines being within three months was 65%, that of canines From three to twelve months, the samples'positive rate is the lowest, that is 55%, which is the exception. Anyway, as the increase of the samples'age, the positive rate is gradually increased, the highest one is 93.3%; When it comes to the different types of the samples, we drew the conclusion that the samples with short hair has higher positive rate than the ones with long hair. Meanwhile, pedigree samples'rate is higher. From the result of the experiment, we have achieved a lot in the two immune prevention experiments in Hangzhou. But we should pay much attention to the first immune prevention. Whether it's the single vaccine or the multi-ones, make sure that another one must be conduced to consolidate after the first one in twenty-one days, preventing the days when the samples are likely to be infected occurring. After that, the common immune prevention can be done twice a year.
