Tripterygium wilfordii Hook f. is a traditional Chinese medicine plants as well as an important resource to produce biorational pesticides. Modern pharmacological studies show that the T. wilfordii have many activities, such as anti-rheumatic, antibacterial, anticancer, anti-HIV. In agricultural activity aspect we found it was effectively in toxic action, antifeedant and development inhibition to pests. With the dramatically increase demands in medicine and biorational pesticide, and also the blind exploitation of wild resources, it bring a lot pressures to the environment. So it's a effective way through tissue culture to produce useful metabolites to due with the problem. The tissue culture was studied in this purpose for protecting natural resources, preserving the ecological environment and laying the foundation for developing sustainable use of resources. The callus induction from leaves of one-year-old T. wilfordii branch cuttings as explants. The suspension embryogenesis lines was established using the loose callus after repeated subculture. The triptolide and alkaloid content of the embryogenesis suspension was explored by different medium components, culture conditions and elicitors changes. The main results and conclusions were given as follows:1 Embryogenesis induce and establishment from suspension culture system: Callus can produce embryogenesis on the 1/2MS liquid medium with 60 mL/L coconut juice. Transferred the embryogenesis to 1/2MS liquid medium with 0.5 mg/L NAA it can proliferate, transferred the embryogenesis to hormone-free MS solid medium. It can renewable to the T. wilfordii plant, transplanted to the greenhouse after acclimatization in soil, the survival rate was higher than 60%.2 Embryogenesis culture system optimization: Through regulate embryogenesis inoculation, medium, pH value and other suspension culture conditions, we access to a better training conditions: 1/2MS +1.0 mg / LNAA +30 g / L sucrose, 1.5 g/100mL inoculation, pH 5.8, 120 mL per 250 mL flask medium volume, we also selected three embryogenesis fungal elicitors Y1, G4, Y2 , all of them are effective in embryogenesis growth. 1/2MS +0.5 mg/L NAA +30 g/L sucrose + Y1, pH 5.8 culture conditions, the triptolide of the embryogenesis was 1.07 times as leaf and 1.44 times as root bark. In 1/2MS +0.5 mg / L NAA +30 g / L sucrose + G4, pH 5.8 cultured conditions the total alkaloids of the embryogenesis was 17.02 times as leaf and 1.46 times as root bark.3 The biological activity of embryogenesis extracts: extracts on P.xylostella larvae was an obviously evident as root bark. After 72h treatment, about 90 percent were died. The embryogenesis extracts also show inhibitory in many plant pathogenic fungi especially show high effect to B. cinerea, F. oxysporum. and V. nigrescensr. their mycelial growth inhibition rate reached 50%.
