China is a big country in producing and planting area of oilseed rape. There are two planting patterns: direct sowing and transplanting in planting oilseed rape. The transplanting area holds very large proportion in present planting patterns of oilseed rape for transplanting occupied superiority in adjusting season contradiction, increasing multiple cropping indexes and improving single plant yield. Because the level of transplanting mechanization is very low, transplanting basically depends on manual labor, this planting pattern cost much time and energy. In recent years, the researching of transplanting machine has a great progression, but has not practical machine type. The experimental transplanter has many problems need to be solved in field planting. In this article, these problems encountering in field planting are analysed basis on theoretical analysis, simulation and experiment, and modified project and thinking are offered. The major conclusions of this study are as follows:1. Aimed at the standing-seedling ratio of the clip-chain type transplanter, finded out the factors affecting the standing-seedling ratio by analysing the seedling movement, which include movement in clamping and casting. The factors are the parameters of transplanter, the casting position, the install positon of the opener and the pressing and earthing wheel, the form of the seedling, and the feature of soil. The results of theoretical analysis are in accord with that of experiments. The optimum factors of the standing-seedling ratio are the extreme lower point of seedling clamp is angled 85degrees from the ground, and the feature parameterλis about 1.2.2. Aimed at the problem of earthing and standing-seedling in paddy field, designed a new mechanism and undertaked a qualitative analysis of the soil mechanical properties in paddy field. The kinematics simulations test by using ADAMS indicates that the new mechanism can achieve preconceived movement. The field experiments showed the new mechanism had some adaptability, but also need to further improvement. Better solutions for the standing-seedling of paddy field transplanter are to strengthen the stiffness and intension of the new mechanism, to incease pre-cut device in the two flanks of the forepat of the pressing mechanism, and to decrease the compaction counter-force.
