The study of the important pest Resseliella citrifrugis Jiang mainly focused on the following aspects: spatial pattern of larvae, pupae in the soil; The content of essential oil in peel of four kinds rutaceae fruits; Trapping test to R. citrifrugis of different kinds and different concentration concentration of essential oil; harmed situation of different rutaceae fruits; effects of temperature on the development of the larvae and pupae of Resseliella citrifrugis Jiang, at last, research the low temperature treatment of Resseliella citrifrugis Jiang. The results were as follows:The spatial pattern of larvae and pupae of Resseliella citrifrugis Jiang were studied in pomelo garden in Longyan, Fujian Province. The result shows that the distribution of of larvae and pupae in soil is negative, the basic component of distribution was colony and the colony were random distribution. Based on the spatial distribution pattern the optimal theoritical sampling models of larvae and pupae were established.The content of essential oil in peel of four kinds rutaceae fruits were sudied, the result show that the content of essential oil in peel of Citrus grandis var. shatinyu Hort is the highest, the second is C. grandis L. sbeck. Cv, the C.sinensis Osbeck and the C. unshiu Marc are the third and fouth. the result of Trapping test to R. citrifrugis of different kinds and different concentration concentration of essential oil was like the content of essential oil in differents fruits.The result of the harmed situation of different rutaceae fruits also like the content of essential oil in differents fruits.At suitable temperature range, development velocities of the larvae and pupae of R. citrifrugis and temperature was positive correlation, But high-temperature can inhibit the development of larvae and pupae. Mathemetic models describing the relations between development velocities and temperaturs were set up on larvae and pupae of R. citrifrugis.At last, to the artificial infested with the egg or larvae of R. citrifrugis. When the cent ral fruit temperature reached 2℃, it was further stored at this temperature for a period of 12 days. The results showed that the 4th instar larvae in the pomeloes were killed completely.
