Study On Forest Health Assessment For Nature Reserve In Northern China

Under the framework of nature reserve and based on the latest research outcome, the paper, from the perspective of initial ecosystem function and social value, selects 18 indicators such as community structure and so on, and establishes the evaluation system of the forest health in north china nature reserve. Taking advantage of Analytic Hierarchy Process to calculate integrally healthy indicator of forestry ecosystem, the paper delineates five degrees:excellent-health, favorable-health, health, sub-health, and ill-health, and choose Baihuashan Nature Reserve in Beijing, Saihanba Nature Reserve in Hebei and Pangquangou Nature Reserve in Shanxi as research object and therefore evaluate the healthy condition of forest. The result indicates:In the 15 sample sites of Baihuashan Nature Reserve,2 are in favorable-health condition,6 are health and 53.3% of them are above health condition. The sub-health sites are 7, accounting for 46.7% of the total. Of the 29 sites in Saihanba Nature Reserve,2 are in excellent-health condition,6 are in favorable-health,5 are in health condition,11 are in sub-health condition,5 are not-health, thus the condition above health is 44.8%, sub-health is 37.9% and not-health is 17.3%. In Pangquangou Nature Reserve, there are 15 sample sites,3 are in favorable-health condition,9 are health,3 are sub-health, and the percent of sites above health is 80%.According to the comparison and analysis of the three nature reserve, we can get that the Panglongquan Nature Reserve's forest health condition is best, and then is Baihuashan Nature Reserve and Saihanbei Nature reserve is in the worst condition. At the same time, I also compare and analysis the natural forest and forest plantation, the result shows that natural forest is in better health condition compared with the forest plantation, and is in the ideal health condition. The forest health assessment results in the three reserves are consistence with on-site investigation, which suggest it is an availability system.Based on the results of the health condition assessment and the on-site survey, we give practical management measure respectively, which will provide reference and assistance to nature reserves development.
