Plant mutation breeding mutation present commonly used physical methods include ultraviolet, X-ray andγ-rays. 60Coγ-ray source which is the introduction of radiation-induced mutation breeding is the most widely used source of radiation. Generally speaking, the use of the number of induced mutation breeding species, growing area and benefits of the social and the economic in china are the highest in the world. Nevertheless, the use of 60Coγray cultivating new varieties of sweet sorghum is still relatively small areas of current research at home and abroad.In this study, we used sweet sorghum variety "landraces" and "sweet new 2" for the material and used different doses of irradiation for the treatment conditions 60Coγ, by exploring sweet sorghum chromosomes, determining the seed germination and seedling physiological characteristics, survey and analysis of agronomic traits, the following results:1. Small sweet sorghum, because of its chromosome forms, can not easily identify, and observe the way the current price of more expensive reagents, this study aiming at this problem and found a set of applicable law and in accordance with sweet sorghum bio, affordable method of observation and the formation of attention matters.2. Seed germination can be used as a basis for judging the merits of seed, by testing these two varieties of sweet sorghum germination rate, germination energy, germination index, vigor index and seedling morphology, the study works out that "Sweetheart 2" variety is superior "landraces", and promote growth 100Gy radiation dose.3. At different exposure conditions, sweet sorghum leaves in the plasma membrane permeability and MDA content of soluble sugars and enzymes were changed to protect. Overall rule for the 0-100Gy, facilitate the seedling growth, 100Gy reached the highest value, 150-200G inhibited the seedlings'growth.4. "tianxin2"'s height, stem diameter and other property characteristics and grain weight, biological yield are higher than the farm variety and agronomic traits through correlation analysis, obtained the radiation dose on the main characters have a more sweet sorghum significant correlation: between radiation dose and section number, plant height was negatively correlated with radiation dose and stem diameter, single stalk weight and sugar content was positively related to radiation dose, and between stem diameter and the sugar content significantly relevance.5. By analyzing the dynamics of stem sugar content we know that the total sugar content in stem was "M"-type trend, which has experienced at first, and then dropped again, further diminished in the process.
