| This article will focus on the existing green space system in XEDZ. Analysis and evaluation the present green system. Identify the problems and propose constructive reasonable suggestions for the un-green areas, and provide reference of information and recommendations.Xi'an Economic Developing Zone(XEDZ) is the newly developing town in the north of Xi'an. The Xi'an government will be settled here in future. XEDZ is devided in two parts, the Central Area and the Marsh Area. The Central Area locates in the north of the No.2 Circle of Xi'an, surround by the Welcome Road and the North Loop Expressway. The Marsh zone locates on the north of the Central Area. Surronded by the No.3 Circle of the city,the Binhe Road,Xi-Tong Highway and the Airport Highway. At present, XEDZ is under constructing. Most roads are not landscaping.The green system is not complete.Investigate and analyze the XEDZ's green space of road system, identify the existing problems, explore and make recommendations to the future development of road system green space. Through the survey we know that the XEDZ has a total area of marsh 4.59×107 m2 and a total area of existing roads 2.58×106 m2, the existing green area of 2.29×106 m2, The average rate of green space is 16.6%, and the average green coverage is 11.32%. In the Centre Area Fengcheng No.11 Road has the highest green area rate,wich is 11.66%.But Fengcheng No.1.3.6.and Weiyang Road has the green area rate lower than 2%.In the Marsh Area, Wenjing Road has the highest green area rate, followed by Shangji Road, Mingguang Road, Weishui Road, Yingke Road. These roads have better planning of landscape plants and good view; West Changbu Road has the lowest green area rate, and it needs to be redesigned. All the tall trees in XEDZ, including the road side trees or group planting shade trees and other large trees consult the first layer plants of the XEDZ road-green system. And the middle sides trees and the other flowering shrubs and the green belts on the road make the second layer, which is most important in the road system. The grass, hedges, groundcover, lawn and flowers and other plant form the third layer of the road-green system. |
