With the increasing demand of energy and environment protection in economy activity, the state has made significant efforts to promote biogas technology and application. Large scale gas storeage technology is an important part in biogas to be used for massive heating and electric plant, while the concrete and glass-steel stores can not keep a constant pressure output and heavy self-weight, which could be easily solved with newly proposed inflatable membrane structures.Firstly, the analysis process of flexible structures under zero-stress state was introduced. It is to start from zero-stress state, to set up nonlinear equilibrium equation and calculate loading response in sequence. The whole process of numerical simulation and related states were firstly proposed for the tensile fabric and pneumatic fabric structure, including nine processes and seven classes (eleven states). The logic relationship, numerical algorithm and unresolved questions were clarified, and the zero-stress state was the corner-stone of the accurate numerical simulation and formulation. The inflation form-finding was distinguished, and the force-found form-finding procedure was firstly proposed for the pneumatic fabric with specific shape. The nonlinear coupling effect was taken into account for the nonlinear structural analysis of pneumatic structure. Then, a fabric inflated model was designed and fabricated, which was 3.0m diameter and 2.0m height. Steel structure and other components were also prepared, which made up the whole system after assembly. Finally, the experiments were carried out for two purposes. Inflation and pressure variation tests were carried out, which proved the adjustment function. Another, the form in five different pressures was surveyed with non-contact photogrammetry, which partly testifies the process and states of the pneumatic fabric structure.
