| China suffers from severe drought and water shortage; multiple droughts have been the main constraint hindering the sustainable development of agricultural production in the north of the Yangtze River. With the rapid development of modern high-tech, scientific and technical personnel in irrigation control field have developed many different kinds of automatic irrigation equipments to meet the diverse needs of irrigation. The equipments effectively manage irrigation and achieve the purpose of saving water. But most of the automatic irrigation controllers don't have wireless communication capabilitie, which brings inconvenience to the equipment installation, staff operations and the system working status monitoring. In order to meet the needs of the wireless control of automatic irrigation, a hand-held irrigation control terminal was researched and developed to realize the remote real-time monitoring of automatic irrigation control system. The operation of water-saving irrigation equipment will be more convenient by using the hand-held irrigation control terminal, which conducive to the popularity of water-saving irrigation equipment.In recent years, embedded technology and wireless communication technology such as GPRS Wireless Data Transmission developed rapidly and has been widely applied. The thesis introduces the research contents of a handheld wireless irrigation control system based on embedded systems GPRS and Wireless Data Transmission technology.The development of the handheld wireless irrigation control terminal contains hardware software design and wireless irrigation control. For the hardware design, this paper uses"main board + module board"scheme and the terminal consists of one main board and three module board. On the software side, using hierarchical design, the operating system layer migration and build a Linux kernel and the corresponding file system. LCD + touch screen operation, GPRS data transfer and system applications are based on the Linux system, in which the use of GPRS functionality GPRS hardware module as the hardware conditions, the use of MODBUS/TCP communication protocol to achieve wireless communication. A radio module and MODBUS protocol was used for Wireless serial data transmission to exchange data between the irrigation controller and handhold system. All these problems will be discussed in correlative chapters in this paper.The handheld wireless irrigation control system is developed according to the scheme presented above, and experiment has proved that wireless irrigation control functions can be achieved. |
