Aiming at water resources deficiency and water waste, and adapt to precision irrigation. This paper put forward a new kind of detection system of plant moisture content. In the paper. the detection system of moisture content in plant leaves is divided into three parts.First, this paper introduces the basic principle of measuring moisture technology using microwave. This paper measures the moisture contents of leaves with microwave resonant cavity method, according to characteristics of some measuring moisture methods with microwave technology. This paper has a detailed description that reasons for choose plant leaves as measurement object, and analysis on the relationship between leaf water content and resonator parameters. The testing methods of resonator parameters have been discussed in this part.Second, Design of resonator decides accuracy of whole system. This paper takes clove leaves as an example which is familiar in northeast of China. This paper designs the cavity parameters of rectangular microwave cavity resonator, mainly including the design of cavity size, coupled diaphragm radius, and the position to place leaf. Then conducts optimized analysis with finite element analysis software HFSS and analyzes the simulation results.Finally, this part discussed microwave circuit, and analysis on function of many microwave devices. Then the signal processing was designed in this part. Including amplifier circuit and rectifier circuit and filter circuit. SCM system was design in this part.The system regards the plant organs as the feedback control variable, and leaf is selected in this paper. Using the microwave technology for the leaves moisture content measurement, has good reliability and strong anti-jamming ability, and is insensitive to leaves'color. Therefore, microwave measurement has broad application prospect in the plant field.
