In this paper, Gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus) for the tested materials,13 different varieties of cut flowers for vase gerbera screening,observation of its vase life, stem bending site bend and so on. Selected the easiest stem-bending varieties is Yidianhong. And the hardest stem-bending variety is Hongditan. By optical microscope and scanning electron microscope to study the anatomical characteristics of the two varieties of the difference between stem tissues, analysis of biological differences between the two varieties. Preservation of the two species by measuring the course of the vase of water with different stem change, water potential,soluble sugar, soluble protein content, potassium, calcium content, POD, SOD, CAT activity, MDA content, relative electrical conductivity and Superoxide radical (O2-) production rate and other physiological changes, Study on Gerbera cut flowers during vase of these factors and the vase life of Gerbera bending effects, further analysis of the curved stem gerbera occurrence and its impact factor.The results are as follows:1. All subjects of 13 varieties in the course of the vase had taken place stem bending phenomena, the Hongditan of the curved stems happen last, and have the longest vase life, stem bending the lowest; The Yidianhong of the curved stems happen at the earliest, and have the shortest vase life, stem bending the highest rate. The part of Gerbera curved stem bend most easily is the Department of flower torquay from 8-12cm.2. Two varieties of Hongditan and Yidianhong are basically the same anatomical structure organization; Cellulose content of stems of two varieties is as follows:LSS> MSS> USS. The stem cross-section areas of Hongditan are larger than Yidianhong's, and the vessel diameter, cortical thickness, vascular area, the stem cellulose content is also relatively larger. The results show that the organizational structure of Hongditan is more conducive to raise the water absorption capacity, increase stem mechanical strength.3. Each stem physiological process in the vase of Hongditan and Yidianhong are basically the same trend. Stem bending ability of different varieties may be related with the initial value of the index size and magnitude of changes in the course of the vase. Soluble sugar, soluble protein, potassium, calcium content, POD, SOD, CAT activity in Corresponding stem of Hongditan are all higher than Yidianhong's. But the O2-production rate, MDA content and relative electrical conductivity are lower than Yidianhong's. Vase in the late, the change rate in MSS of Yidianhong's water absorption, soluble sugar content, POD, SOD, CAT activity, MDA content and relative electrical conductivity are larger than the USS and LSS.And the trend is larger than the corresponding stem of Hongditan. These physiological changes explain the anti-aging ability of Hongditan is higher than that of Yidianhong.4. The cause of the MSS of Gerbera Stem bends easily because water absorption capacity of species, potassium, calcium content, the mechanical strength of stems and the relevant physiology in vase of the common range of factors as the joint decision.
