According to the site condition characteristics of low salt, exist large amount of reeds and seasonal flooded in Changjiang river beach, ground elevation by engineering measures, mixed forest forestation of main tree species (populus) and associated tree species(Alnus glutinosa and Salix×jiangsuensis cv. J799), eco-physiological characteristics and soil carbon storage of plantation were carried out in the paper, so as to provide scientific basis for constructing technology of effective utilization model in Changjiang river beach. The main results are as follows:(1) Through analyzing the simulation results, site preparation for afforestation by engineering measures which width of water (20m) , width of dam (8m) and the angle of dam (30°) was reasonable, Thus this site preparation for afforestation measures was feasible.(2) The afforestation experiment results show that the industrial timber production by main tree species and soil improvement by associated tree species were achieved. The allocation model of main with associated tree species was the best efficiency utilization model in Changjiang river beach.(3) Observations of tree growth and eco-physiological characteristics indicated that the growth of main tree species was more quickly associated tree species. According to the net growth of tree height and DBH, individual volume and net photosynthetic rate, the comprehensive evaluation values ranked in the order of NL-95 > 447 >NL-895 >NL-80351> 328 > 35 > I-72.(4) Photon flux, temperature and relative humidity had little difference in the same phenophase of three tree species arrangements, the result turns out contrary to that of different phenophase. It was found that, the difference of photon flux had significant effect on yield, 1000-grain weight and protein content on wheat.(5) In the range of 0~40 cm soil layer, the total N content of soil greater than annual average value in populus and Alnus glutinosa patterns of tree species arrangements, and the variable range of carbon storage was 51.28~57.35 t/hm2...
