Agroforestry can make full use of undergrowth open land,improve soil fertility and ecological environment,increase farmers' income,and promote the efficient and stable development of forestry and agriculture.Poplar,as one of the main afforestation species in Yellow River flood plain,has a vast planting area and abundant forest land resources,which provides a good space for the development of poplar agroforestry.Taking Yuncheng County,Liangshan County,Guan County,Shen County,Yanggu County and Jiaxiang County in Shandong Province,Qingfeng County,Weishi County and Zhongmou County in Henan Province,and Qiu County,Quzhou County and Linzhang County in Hebei Province as investigation places,this paper summarizes the main patterns of poplar agroforestry in Yellow River flood plain by means of literature collection,field investigation and indoor data analysis,and takes typical specific models for each type,investigates the growth status of trees,analyses the differences of soil available nutrients and economic benefits.The following conclusions were drawnPoplar agroforestry model in North China is diversified.It mainly includes nearly 30 kinds of models of six major categories,including poplar-crop,poplar-edible fungus,poplar-poultry,poplar-Chinese herbal medicine,poplar-vegetable,poplar-seedling(flower).Poplar agroforestry can effectively promote the growth of trees.Compared with the control poplar forest,the height growth and the diameter at breast height growth of trees increased to a certain extent.The diameter at breast height growth of trees under 2-year-old poplar-soybean model has increased by 25%compared with the monoculture forest,and the height growth of trees under poplar-earthworm model has increased by 12.9%compared with the monoculture forest.The content of soil available nutrients in poplar agroforestry was higher than that in monoculture poplar forests,and different models had different effects.Among them,the content of soil available nutrients in poplar-peanut model increased significantly,the content of available N,P and K increased 21.7%,64.7%and 50.1%respectively,and the content of available N,P and K in poplar-duck model increased 61.4%,36.4%and 85.2%respectively.The economic benefit of poplar agroforestry was higher than that of monoculture poplar forest,which solves the problem that the economic benefit of poplar planting is slower.Among them,the annual economic benefit of poplar-duck model with the highest income was 103097.2 yuan/mu.
