The variations of the Adiponectin gene was detected and analysed in chickens from the F2 resource population by PCR amplification,DNA sequencing,PCR-RFLP and CRS-PCR-RFLP,and the assoiation analysis of the polyphorisms in the genes with the economic traits was performed using the least-squares analysis. The main results were as follows:1,Six SNPs of adiponectin genes were detected in the F2 generation. Two SNPs(c.A99G and c.T126C) were present in exon1 and they both result in synonymous mutations.The genotypes:AA, AB, BB and CC, CD, DD were found at the locus c.A99G and c.T126C in adiponectin genes respectively. Another three SNPs(c.C474T,c.C565G and c.G354A) were present in exon2, locus c.C474T and c.G354A result in synonymous mutations while locus c.C565G result in missence mutation.The genotypes:EE, EF, FF and GG, GH, HH were found at the locus c.C474T and c.C565G in adiponectin genes respectively. Locus c.G354A was not analysised in the chickens from the F2 resource population.The last SNP(g.C536T) was present in intron2, which was not analysised in the chickens from the F2 resource population.2,Four cSNPs (c.A99G, c.T126C, c.C474T and c.C565G) were determined in the chickens from the F2 resource population by the digestion with Hsp92II, MspI, Taq I and MvaI respectively. The polymorphic information contents showed that one SNP(c.A99G) was highly (0.2479) polymorphic sites and the other three SNPs(c.T126C, c.C474T and c.C565G) were moderate (0.3070~0.3569) polymorphism sites. The chi-square test demonstrated that the locus c.A99G was under equilibrium condition, but the locus c.T126C, c.C474T and c.C565G were under disequilibrium conditions. 3,The associations of the genotypes in the 4 loci with the traits of F2 resource population were analyzed.The results showed the polymorphic site c.A99G was significantly associated with double pinion weight rate (P<0.01), Shank length in 4-week-old (P<0.05), and Plumpness rate of leg muscle fiber (P<0.05),etc; The polymorphic site c.T126C was significantly associated with leg muscle weight (P<0.05), breast angle in 8-week-old (P<0.05), region of leg muscle fiber (P<0.05)and lactic dehydrogenase (P<0.05), etc; The polymorphic site c.C474T was significantly associated with dressing percent(P<0.01), semi-eviscer ation rate (P<0.01), abdominal fat weight, (P<0.05), and abdominal fat rate (P <0.05),etc; The polymorphic site c.C565G was significantly associated with double pinion weight rate (P<0.05), abdominal fat weight (P<0.01) ,abdominal fat rate(P<0.01), etc;...
