Taking peony variety 'Luoyanghong' of different growing periods as materials, through potted and field planted, this experiment determined the contents of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn in different parts. Results show:1. In leaves, the mineral elements annual changes trends of potted peony and field peony were basically unanimous; in mixed buds, nutrient level was quite high, but with the unfurl and growth of leaves; contents of N, P, K, Cu and Zn decreased continuously; N and P contents of field peony decreased by 52.4% and 55.9% respectively from big-windbell period to leaf-fall period, potted peony 54.3% and 57.5% respectively; contents of Ca and Fe increased continuously, especially Ca showed a accumulating feature; contents of Mg and Mn first increased and then decreased; while Ca content of potted peony leaves was generally lower than that of field peony in the same period. In new stems, annual changes trends of P, K and Cu contents of potted peony and field peony were same, decreasing gradually; annual changes trends of Ca, Mg, Fe and Zn contents were same, increasing continuously; N content decreased gradually, and increased rapidly in leaf-fall period; Ca content of potted peony was obviously lower than that of field peony in the same period. In old stems, there appeared large difference in mineral elements annual changes trends between potted peony and field peony; the change trends of Ca, Mg, Fe and Zn were in contrast; most of the mineral elements contents in old stems of field peony all rose again of some degrees in leaf-fall period, while for the potted peony, except for Mg, the contents of other elements were still decreased in the same period. In the root of field peony, contents of N, Fe, Zn and Cu showed a trend of decline from germination to leaf-fall period; K content reached the highest in germination stage, decreased greatly in flower-bud differentiation period, and then rose again; Ca content was the lowest in germination stage, rose rapidly, and declined sharply in flower-bud differentiation period, then increased greatly in leaf-fall period; contents of P, Mg and Mn changed little, staying in a steady level.2. Allocation proportion of each element in organs was different in different periods. In germination stage, nutrient elements were mainly distributed in mixed buds。Ca and Mn were mainly distributed in stems and roots. In big-windbell period, nutrient elements mainly in buds and leaves, Ca, Fe and Zn mainly in old stems; there's a large amount of Ca and Fe in roots. In florescence, contents of nutrient elements were quite high in petals and leaves; Fe and Zn mainly in old stems. In flower-bud differentiation and leaf-fall periods, there's a lot nutrient elements in leaves. Seeing from the migration of elements, N, P, K and Mg of peony mainly transferred to mixed buds in germination stage; the nutrients transferred to buds and leaves in big-windbell period; in florescence, to leaves; in flower-bud differentiation, mainly provided for the differentiation and formation of the bud.3. According to the rules of elements distribution and migration through the whole growth stage of potted peony and field peony, peony fertilization could be divided into: spring pre-bloom fertilizer(flower promoting fertilizer),summer post-flowering fertilizer(sustaining fertilizer), autumn and winter base fertilizer(dormancy fertilizer). Based on the above, bud fertilizer should be suppled on potted peony,to ensure the formation of flower buds. For potted peony, it is very important to foliar fertilizer supplement in spring and summer and root fertilizer in winter .
