In this paper, three kinds of cholesteric liquid crystal compounds, Cholesteryl Acryloyl Oxyldiethylene Glycol Carbonate, Cholesteryl Acryloyl Oxyltriethylene Glycol Carbonate, Cholesteryl Acryloyl Oxyltetraethylene Glycol Carbonate, were synthesized and characterized by Element Analysis, Infrared Spectroscopy and Differential Scanning Calorimetry. They were copolymerized with methyl silicone oil containing hydrogen and vinyl silicone oil in certain contents to form composite membranes. After investigating the surface morphology and blood compatibility of the membranes, I got the results: in the system of same liquid crystal compound, the blood compatibility of the materials whose liquid crystal contents were lower than 30% was close with that of pure polysiloxane; otherwise the blood compatibility of the materials whose liquid crystal contents were over 30% significantly exceeded that of pure polysiloxane. The reason was : when the liquid crystal contents were low, the liquid crystal groups dispersed in the composite membranes; when the liquid crystal contents were high enough, the liquid crystal compound formed continuous phase in the surface of the materials and exhibited the characteristics of microscopic order and fluidity similar with the compounds in lives. When the liquid crystal contents were same, the blood compatibility of the membrane that were made with Cholesteryl Acryloyl Oxyltetraethylene Glycol Carbonate ranked first.
