Objective To explore the cytotoxic effect of tumor necrosis factor and interferon on normal skeletal muscle cells in order to give more information for treating bone tumor in the clinic Methods The Wister rat's skeletal muscle cells were cultured as target cells .The MIT method was used to explor the different effect on normal skeletal muscle cells when different concentration TNF,IFN and TNF ally IFN were used in different concentration and different time . Results It has inhibitory effect on normal skeletal muscle cell's growth when TNF's concentration in 500U/ml-1600U/ml . And the rat of inhibitory effect can reach maximum when the concentration in 8000U/ml. IFN can promote normal skeletal muscle cells'growth.When IFN's concentration in 2000U/ml , the rate of multiplication can reach maximum TNF+IFN can promote normal skeletal muscle cells'growth . When the concentration in 2000U/ml , the rate of multiplication can reach maximum . Conclusion TNF has inhibitory effect on normal skeletal muscle cell's growth . IFN has promoting and vegetating effect on normal skeletal muscle cells . TNF ally IFN can decreased TNF's inhibitory effect on normal skeletal muscle cells'growth and raised immunization . The result give more information for treating bone tumor in the clinic.
