Preparation Of 5-Fu Gelatin Microsphere And Experimental Studies Of Ethylcellulose Microsphere On Biological Characteristics

Objective: to study the production techniques of gelatin microsphere encapsulated with chemotherapeutant, and evaluate the biological characteristics of 5-Fu gelatin microsphere. Methods: 5-Fu Gelatin micro sphere was prepared by improved emulsified cold-condensation method, with different production techniques considered. The encapsulation rate and drug content were tested, also the characteristics of drug release in vitro evaluated. Results and Conclusions: Diameter of 5-Fu Gelatin microsphere could be effectively controlled. Encapsulation rate was 85.0%, and drug content was 12.2%. 95% of the drug was released in 4 hours in the simulated environment in vivo. 5-Fu Gelatin microsphere prepared by this method was stable; the velocity of gelatin decomposition and drug release was proper for clinical use.
