The three-dimension analytical method of finite element was used to set up a new 3-D finite element model of whole lumbar vertebral column with muscles and to investigate the distribution normal posture such as forward-bending~ afterward-stretch~ one side bending and rotation. Then analyze the biomechanics mechanism in the cause of lumbar vertebral common disease by using the relationship Of stress and strain. To establish the model, we measured the surface nodes of 3-D lumbar spine of human corpse and artificially divided the lumbar spine into 496 units (including 1006 nodes) according to the finite division regular of 3-D coordinate system of lumbar spine model. We also measure the distance and section of some muscles for example, psoas major muscle, quadratus lumborum, erector spinae 1 olbique, internal abdominal oblique, rectus abdominis, transversus abdominis. Through calculation of the moment of force, we achieve the force of muscle, which was downloaded in the model. The condition of stress on lumbar spine is changed by the force of different muscles. We us~ computer to set up several normal postures such as forward bending, afterward stretch, one-side bending and rotation. Then to calculate the changing stress and strain of the model under different postures. The result showed: hazard stress was showed in lumbar spine under different postures especially for lumbar pedicle, interarticularis, facet joints and annulus, fibrosus. Bone and tissue with a long-term hazard stress will be broken, increased and inflammation without bacterium. The cause of lumbar spine common disease will depend on this result by using the relationship of stress and strain. flow to prevent and cure with common disease of lumbar spine will be in accordance with this result. The new 3-D finite element model of whole lumbar vertebral column with muscles is exactly the same as human anatomy. It is innovationship and important. It will be the reference for curing common disease of lumbar spine.
