| Triiodothyronine (T3) and insulin can promote the cell's metabolism of sugar, fat and protein, and accelerate the cell's growth. In this study, we investigated the effects of triiodothyronine (T3) and insulin on in-vitro drug sensitivity of Vp-16 and DDP to PLA-801D with MTT assay. The main results are summarized as follows:1. Triiodothyronine (T3) had no effect to the proliferation of PLA-801D , but insulin can process the cell's proliferation.2. The concentration of triiodothyronine (T3) and insulin had no obvious change after the effect of PLA-801D.3. T3 was found to enhance significantly the anticancer activities of Vp-16 while it was existed. There was no correlation between the chemosensitivity and T3's concentration as while as the operation time. T3 could not sensitize PLA-801D to DDP.4. Insulin could markedly advance the sensitivity of Vp-16 and DDP to PLA-801D, especially when insulin was absent. The effect time of insulin had no influence on the chemosensitivity of Vp-16 and DDP. There was no correlation between insulin's concentration and the sensitivity of Vp-16, but the lower dose insulin acted on, the more sensitized to tumor cell of DDP. |
