Malignant lung tumor is a kind of neoplasm with high morbidity and high mortality, especially lung cancer. To provide more valuable information for clinician and pathologist, we investigated the incident evidence of malignant lung tumor in Tianjin.Methods and Materials:The data were from Tianjin Medical University General Hospital and Second Hospital from 1981 to 2000. The software used to analysis data includes Microsoft Excel, Access and Word. SPSS VersionlO.O was used to statistic the data. All information of data were described by crosstabs and their corresponding charts.Result and Conclusion:All the tumor cases from the two hospitals of 20 years were totally 47626, and 24624 cases of malignant tumor were detected. 1 897 cases of malignant lung tumor was 7.7% of all tumors. The average of malignant lung tumor was 94.85 cases per year. 1 . The year tendency of malignant lung tumor and lung cancer of different type in the 20 yearswas increased.2. The age tendency of lung cancer in the 20 years: malignant lung tumor was more in 50?0-. The high incident group of age rose from 50- to 60~. The average age in male was older than dial in female.3. The characteristics of lung cancer male was the high incident group of lung cancer. Squamous cell carcinoma was mainly in male and carcinoid was only in female.4. Related factors in tendency of malignant lung tumor were aging of population, risk factors in environment and living habits.
