Objective In order to investigate the change of tumor necrosis factor-ct (TNF-α) in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and the effect of supplement of captopril.Methods 24 rabbits were randomly divided into four groups. In group I the left anterior descending coronary artery(LAD) was false ligated. In group II the LAD was ligated. Rabbits of group III and IV underwent 0.5h of LAD occlusion and 4h of reperfusion. Before LAD ligated rabbit in groupIV were intravenously administed captopril and in group I, II, III were sodium chloride through minipuls. The level of serum TNF-α was determined at some points before and after operation.Results (1 ) the serum concentration of TNF-α in group I were not different before and after operation ( 8.82±8.56vsl2.59±7.99 , P>0.05 ) ; ( 2 ) the serum concentration of TNF-α in group II were no different before and after operation ( 9.53±10.42vsl7.55±11.45 , P>0.05 ) ; (3)In group III the serum TNF-a of reperfusion Ih higher than that before operation ( 31.66±16.43vsl 1.46 ±7.21, PO.05 ), and 4h were significantly higher than that before operation ( 45.15±20.87vsl 1.46±7.21, PO.01); (4)compared with group III, TNF-α of reperfusion Ih in group IV was less than the same point in group III, but it was no satistical significence.(31.66±16.43vsl2.16±4.70 , P>0.05 ) ;TNF-α of reperfusion 4h of group IV was obviously decreased. ( 19.12±10.15vs45.15±20.87, PO.05 ) . Conclusion The result suggest that TNF-α participate in pathogenesis of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, and captopril might reduce ischemia-reperfusion injury through decrease the production and release of TNF-α.
