Purpose:This research aims at observing the therapeutic effect of the prescription of Gan Zhi Xiao (GZX) on fatty liver rat and evaluates the possible action mechanism of this prescription, provides certain theoretical basis for the research on the treatment of fatty liver, Lays the base for medicine research and development of the treatment of fatty liver disease. Method:The fatty liver rat model is duplicated by oral administration of fat food and alcohol Compare with the medicine Dong Dao Gan Tai (DBGT). Observe and test every group of the rats respectively. The following effects can be observed. (1) The effect on TC and TG (2) The effect the activity of ALT and AST (3) The effect on the content of TG and TC in liver tissue (4) The effect on SOD and LPO (5) The effect on CAMP (6) The pathological change of the liver tissue Result:There are significant differences between model control group and normal bland group in the above indexes. This indicates that in the condition of fatty liver, the liver cell' s injury and destroy exist in certain degree. In addition, TG and TC rise obviously liver tissue. GZX can markedly decrease TG TC and the activity of ALT AST in the liver tissue. It can also increase the content of SOP and CAMP and decrease that of LPO. The structure of GZX is integrated. The cell' s water denaturation vanishes. The round fat drops in the cytoplasm decrease evidently. The effect of GZX is superior to that of DBGT. Conclusion:The effect mechanisms of GZX are as follows1. Adjust the action of the lipid.2. Alleviate the fat denaturatiDn of the liver cells.3. Restore and protect the velamen of the liver cytoplasm and the mitochondria velamen and can cure fatty liver disease4. Resist lipidperoxidation. Increase the activity of SOD and decrease the content of LPO.
