Factors For The Failed Treatment Of Ectopic Pregnancy By Pharmacotherapy

Objective To investigate the effect and the related failure factors of combination of methotrexate mifepristone and traditional Chinese medicinal herbs on treating early ectopic pregnancy.Method We comparatively analysed the clinical data changes of mass diameter and serum P-hCG in 34 successfully treated cases and 7 failure ones .Results There were no significant differences(P>0.05)in occurrence rate of vaginal bleeding and abdominal pair before treatment between successful cases and failed cases,but highly significant differences(P<0.01) in gestational age , ectopic mass area afte treatment, and serumP-hCG before treatment and after 7 days of treatment. Conclusion combination of 'methotrexate mifepristone and traditional Chinese medicinal herbs in treating ectopic pregnancy is a effective method with highly successful rate and minor side effect. It is suitable to be used for those who need to keep the reproductive function.When the gestational age is over 56 days,the serum-hCG is more than 2000 IU/L,the decreasing of it is less than 15% and mass area increases over 50% after treatment of 7 days ,ii this situation,the treatment may fail.
