Gastric cancer is the one of the common tumors in many countries in the world. Although gastric cancer is declining in frequency in the world, its new cases still ranks second (75000 per year). The survival frequency is still low ,it seriously imperil the health and the livings of the People .In China , GC ranks as the first leading cancer. The etiology of GC is intricate, many studies suggest environment and genetic factors may play important roles. Since 1980, many researchers have been intreasted in the relation of trace elements and GC. The purpose of our study is to research the effects of enviroment factors (dietary factors especially), trace elements on the GC and apply the theoritical gists for the preventation of GC. Our study tries to build the equation of the level of the serum trace elements through the maths model, the high risk people of GC can be determined by the equation and other biomarkers.case-control study on risk factors for GCThe study emphasized the relationship of risk factors, especially diet, family history of GC and other factors based on the population-based case-control study in haian.l.The Univariate factor analysis of risk factors for GCThe results of the x2 trend test : The few intake of vegetables, eating fastly, eating when being angry and the family history of GCare the risk factors of GC; but more intake of bean products and ricecan decrease the incidence rates of GC.Univariate Logistic regression analysis showed more intake of-6-bean products , having the family history of GC can decrease the risk for GC; few intake of vegetables , low year income, eating fastly, eating when being angry, salty taste and having the familial history of GC may increase the risk for GC. 2.The results of the multivariate regression analysis :Few intake of vegetables, eating fastly, eating when being angry, the family history entered the last model. The attributable risk proportion of these factors are 53.6%, 31.9%, 87.7% and 56.5%; the arributable risk proportion of population of these factors are 7.5%, 16.0%, 40.1% and 11.6%.3.Combined effect of risk factors on GCThe odds ratio of fewer intake of vegetables, eating fastly, eating when being angry significantly increased respectively when combined with family history of GC, compared to the OR of each single factor. The results showed that the major risk factors can play the combined effects on the GC.Genetic epidemiolgical study on GCPart one showed that the GC family history was the one of the important risk factors. In this part we studied the family aggregation, heritability and mode inheritance of GC on the basis of population-based case-control study, and synthetically evaluated the role of genetic factor.1.Comparison of GC family history between probands and controlsThe positive family history of GC in probands was higher than that in controls. The ration of the father, mother, sibling with GC in probands was 4.88%, 10.57%, 11.38%, and 1.63% respectively,-7-higher than that in controls (2.48%, 3.31%, 4.13%, 0% respectively). But difference was only seen in mother and male sibiling.2.Comparison of GC prevalence in first-degree relatives between probands and controlsThe GC prevalence in first-degree relatives of probands ( 3.68%) was higher than that in controls(l .29%). The ratio of male and female relatives suffered from GC in probands was 3.91% and 3.40% respectively, higher than that in controls (1.57% and 0.94% respectively). The prevalence of mothers and brothers of probands was significantly higher than that in controls. No statistical difference was observed in fathers and sisters between probands and controls.3.Family aggregation of GCThe distribution of GC in the predigrees of probands was significantly different from that in controls. The bionomial distribution analysis showed that there was significant familial aggregation in the occurrence of GC in the first-degree relatives of probands , compared theory cases with the actual cases.4.
