Clinical Study On The Ovulation Promoting Effect Of YiJingBuShen Decoction

Objective :To observe the effect of YiJingBuShen Decoction (YJBSD) to promote the ovulation and to explore its mechanism . Methods: 60 patients were divided randomly into the treatment group (30 cases, treated with YJBSD) and the control group (30 cases , treated with LduWeiDiHuang Decoction) . Before and after treatment , the clinical symptoms , serum sex hormone , the blood supply of ovary and uterus and trace elements were observed . Results: The ovulation rate and the totle effective rate of the treatment group were 66.7% and 90% , while those of the control group were 13.3% and 56.7% respectively . The difference between the two groups was significant (p < 0.05, p < 0.01) . Before treament the serum levels of FSH, LH , ? and trace elements, including Zn , Cu and Fe were low , and the blood supply of ovary and uterus was not enough . After YJBSD treament , the diameter of main follice , the thickness of endometrium , the serum levels of FSH, LH , ? and trace elements , and the blood supply of ovary and uterus were significantly improved (p<0.05-0.01) . Conclusion: YJBSD is an effective recipe in promoting ovulation . The effect may be achieved through the operation of hypothalamic - pituitary - ovarian axis , and the improvement of micro - environment of reproduction .
