| Objective: Chemotherapy is the main method for treatment of acute leukemia. Presently most chemical medicine used in tumor therapy can induce apoptosis in leukemia cells. Because of the side-effect and resistance many patients couldn't complete the period of treatment or have bad life conditions even die of recrudesce. In recent years Chinese traditional medic is special and gets the better clinic curative effect in the resisting of leukemia.But because the component and action mechanism of Chinese traditional medicine are complex, the study didn't very deep. Especially, it is a little that opened out its mechanism of induces cell apoptosis from the molecular level.To observe the effect of the induce apoptosis in acute leukemia mice by Yiqi Yanyin formula for investigating the mechanism ofYiqi Yanyin formula in treatment of acute leukemia.Methods: 1,7212 leukemia mice were filled with the concentrated liquid of Yiqi Yanyin formula in the stomach, the mice were killed then used for in vitro studied. The effect of Yiqi Yanyin formula on acute leukemia mice was studied by usingoptical microscope and DNA agars gel electrophoresis, the expression on P53 proteins of the leukocyte in the liver sinusoid was detected with immunohisto chemical staining, etc.Results: The typical feature of apoptosis induced by chemotherapeutic drugs was observed by morphological examination. The phenomenon of apoptosis could be detected in DNA fragmentation electrophoregram. There was a marked drop in expression of the P53 proteins in the term of Yiqi Yangyin formula.Conclusion: This implies that inducing apoptosis in leukemia cell may be the important role of morphology observation Yiqi Yanyin formula in the treatment of acute leukemia, offer some primary gist for the clinic therapy of Chinese traditional medicine. And it has some value in more study of Yiqi Yanyin formula in the treatment of acute leukemia.
