| Yuye Tang is a classical and efficient prescription in treating diabetes mellitus. It was firstly presented in Records of Traditional Chinese and Modern Western Medicines in Combination written by Zhang XiChun and is composed of Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, chicken' s gizzard membrane, Radix Puerariae, Fructus Schizandrae and Radix Trichosanthis.It can reinforce the kidney, strengthen the spleen, promote the production of qi and promote the flow of body fluid. It can treat diabetes mellitus which induced by qi and yin deficiency of the spleen and the kidney. The thesis elaborate on the cause of diabetes mellitus, the Compatible Characteristics and the application of Yuye Tang in modern time. The Compatible Characteristics are treating both the spleen and the kidney at the same time, treating both the primary and the secondary aspects of a disease at the same time, yang in yin and descending after ascending. We depended on the modern medical methods through injecting Alloxan into abdominal cavity, carried out the pharmacological experiment of Yuye Tang and the other two different compatible groups.The result show that the effect of Yuye Tang is better than the other two groups in reducing glucose, total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG) , improving the symptom of the thirsty and the emaciation and relieve the pathologic impairment to B cell in pancreas islet. The experiment fully proves that the scientificcompatibility of Yuye Tang and provides experimental basis for its application. |
