Objective To evaluate the clinical relating risk factors and the safety, efficacy of interventional therapy of coronary artery in-stent restenosis. Method 49 patients were enrolled in this study, and the patients were divided into the groups of in-stent restenosis and non in-stent restenosis according to the clinical situation or the results of coronary angiograms. Then the clinical relating factors on in-stent restenosis were analyzed. 12 patients including 16- lesions accepted plain old balloon angioplasty, cutting balloon (CB) angioplasty and stenting. Results There were no statistical differences in age and prevalence of smoking, hypertension and diabetes between two groups. The overall success rates of interventional therapy were 100%. In 10 lesions treated with CB alone, there was a marked reduction in the luminal stenosis from (84.6 10.4) % to (11.6 6.1) %. No case developed severe dissection, cardial tamponade and acute myocatdial infarction. Conclusion The rate of in-stent restenosis was not significantly influenced with age. smoking, hypertension and diabetes. Cutting balloon is a safe and efficient to coronary artery in-stent restenosis.
