IMC (Invasive Microwave Coagulation) is new method for the treatment of liver tumors. In order to insure the temperature field could cover with the liver tumors, it is important to predict and monitor distribution of temperature field. Study shows that thermal properties and blood perfusion rate of organic body tissue affect the distribution of temperature field remarkably. In the clinical application of IMC therapy of liver tumors, surgeons always tend to estimate the values of thermal properties and blood perfusion rate by experience. It is significant to measure thermal properties and blood perfusion rate real time in IMC therapy.A measurement method of thermal properties and blood perfusion rate organic body tissue is described in this paper, and a new measurementsystem is developed. Liquid medium and dead medium were first used to verify the veracity of measurement result acquired by this measurement system , then this measurement system used to measure thermal properties and perfusion rate of flowing medium and live tissue. A series of experiments provide technical information to predict temperature distribution and therapy scheme.
