Objective:To evalute the short-term prognosis of first acute myocardial infaraction (AMI) with or without angina within 48 hours before AMI.Methods: 138 cases of first AMI were divided into two groups according to the preinfarction angina pectosis 48 hours before onset of infarction: ischemic preconditioning (IP) group (n=54) with angina within 48 hours, hours before AMI onset; no ischemic preconditioning (NIP) group (n=84).The basic clinical characteristics of the two groups were similar.ResuIts:The short-term prognosis of the IP group is better than NIP.The infarction size was smaller in the IP group than that in the NIP group (P<0.05), the peak value of myocardial enzyme was lower (p<0.05), the incidences of maligrant arrhythmia, heart failure, cardiogenic shock and cardiogenic mortality were also lower in IP group than those in the NIP group (p<0.05] . Conclusion: The preinfarction angina pectosis 48 hours before onset of first AMI have definite cardioprofective effects, these effects may be related to the ischemic preconditioning.
