Objective: To study the relationship between antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies(ANCA) and systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). Methods: Clinical data of 65 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, who were examined ANCA in the sera by indirect immunoflourescence technique(IIF),were studied retrospectively. Results: The positive rate of ANCA in SLE patients was 61.5% by IIF The patients with cutaneous vasculitic manifestation in the group of positive ANCA were more than ones in the group of negtive ANCA, the difference between the two groups was very significant(P<0.05). So were the patients with serositis. There also was significant difference in exceeding 0.5g/l of urinary protein in 24 hours, patients with positive anti ds-DNA, lowing 90g/l of Hb, patients with hypocomplementemia(P<0.05). Conclusion: ANCA in some patients with SLE were positive. ANCA might be correlated with lupus activities and renal's invasions.
