Diabetes is a familiar chronic disease with the characteristic of high blood sugar in clinic mainly. It is originated from the obstacle of the dextrose metabolize and incretion, and then it can cause the metabolize foul-up of the whole body. Insulin, known as a kind of hormone composed of insulin B cell and excreted by it, is the primary conditioner of the dextrose concentration. As a result, the injection of insulin turned into one of the most efficient ways of the insulin therapy since insulin is discovered. Initially, people injected the insulin into the patient by the way of hypodermic. But after a series of evolution, the insulin pump, a device with the advantage of continuous injection, appears and takes the place of the traditional method. Father more, compared with the traditional method, it is proved that the diabetes patient's blood sugar is more stable and that the rate of the complication is mostly reduced by 60 to 70 percent by the use of the insulin pump. The information came from an authoritativeinstitution-the International Sanitation Association, which had beenon the Diabetes Control and Complication Trial(DCCT) for 10 years until June, 1993. This thesis is just about the research on the development of a relative prior portable open-loop trial insulin pump.The design principle of the trial pump includes micromation, portability, low power dissipation and low cost.The design principle of the trial pump includes (l)using the dry batteryof+6V,(2)adoption of 89C51-a type of MCU as the control center,and(3)while the natural special injector piston is drived by the step motor, the insulin goes into the patient's abdomen endermic tissue, according to insulin exudation curve of the natural body.The hardware of the trial pump consists of seven function modules as follows, the central disposal module, the step motor drive module, thedisplay module, the key control module, the clock module, the alarm module and the power supply module. The central disposal module, is mostly made up of MCU 89C51.lt controls the working state of the other function modules by receiving commands and dominates the running of the others by transferring commands. So that the whole system is an organic one with the anticipated functions. However, the step motor module is the real center of the control system, because only if the step motor drives the piston of the injector the insulin injection can be realized and the other modules are all serving for it.The key content of the hardware design includes (l)the anticipated functions offering by the combination of the modules ,(2)the driving and the precise control of the step motor,(3) supplying the digital circuit and the step motor with two +5V power sources respectively, it avoids the current fluctuation of wide range when the step motor is on or off, and the system is more stable for this case, (4)the alarm of the low power supply, and(5)the calendar clock module, the LCD display, the interface circuit and so on.With the use of the assemble language and the system programme in module in the software design of the trial pump, it is transplantable and has the clear consecution. The design of the software implement the functions asfollows. Firstly, there are two modes of the insulin injection-basic andlarge dose, with a dozen of optional parameters respectively. Secondly, for the purpose of meeting the physiological need of the nature body more ,the curve of the insulin is used to control the operation of the step motor. Thirdly, the system functions in low power dissipation for the step motor is electrified only when it is operating or else it is cut off by the soft switch, lastly, it offers the menu control,the Liquid Crystal Display(LCD) interface in Chinese completely, the time display and the alarm clock.There is a breakthrough on theory in this thesis, which for the first time puts forward the mathematics model of the curve of a large dose of insulin, and deals with it by arithmetic and the outcome is used in the software to...
