Objective To investigate the myocardial injury and inflammatory response of on-pump and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting; To explore their relationship with the postoperative recovery.Methords 5 patients undergoing OPCAB and 10 patients undergoing DVR were included. Serial blood samples were taken at various intervals. Serum was anlalyzed for cTn-I and TNF- α .19 OPCAB and 21 CCABG patients were included for retrospective anlanysis about their postoperative recovery. Results Significant increase from aorta clamped of cTn-I and TNF- α were found in the DVR group, but they were significantly reduced in the OPCAB group. A close correlation between the peak value of these markers and some postoperative profiles was discovered. Also, OPCAB group has a faster and better recovery. Conclusion Myocardial injury and inflammatory response were reduced and there was a good early curative effects in the OPCAB group. The peak values of cTn-I and TNF- α were correlated with postoperative recovery.
