| Object: To observate the rehabilitating effect of Opposing needling plus Non-opposing needling twice daily on patients with early hemiplegia due to cerebral apolexy. Mothods: 48 patients with early hemiplegia were equally randomized to two groups (observation group and control group). In the observation group, 24 cases were treated with Opposing needling and Non-opposing needling twice daily alternately and in the control group with Non-opposing needling only once daily. Before and 1 month after treatment , the motor function and activity daily living (ADL) of all patients in two groups were assessed with the Brief Fugl-Meyer Limb Motor Function Score and Modified Barthel Index(MBI) respectively. Results: Before and 1 month after treatment , the FMA (Fugl-MeyerAssessment) scores in the treatment group were 42.87±11.90 and 85.33±21.46 , and 42.25±11.90 and 71.79±22.08 respectively(P<0.001, P<0.001) in the control group. The recovery of limb motor function in the treatment group was better than that in the control group ,and there was a significant difference between them(P<0.001). The MBI scores before and 1 month after treatment were 32.29±12.28 and 84.50±24.82 in the treatment group, and 31.67±11.35 and 62.12±26.31 in the control group,respectively(P<0.001 , P<0.001).The recovery of ADL in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group(P<0.001). Conclusion: The therapeutic program that Opposing needling and Non-opposing needling are used alternately twice a day is superior to the route acupuncture therapy in promoting the hemipegic patient's recovery of limb motor function and daily life ability. |
