Surgical Treatment Of Allman Type â…¢ Acromioclavicular Dislocation A Comparative Study Of Tension Band And Clavicular Hook Plate Fixation

Objective To investigate the clinical value of the clavicular hook plate fixation in repairing of the Allman type III acromioclavicular dislocationo Methods From March, 1999 to February, 2003, 28 cases of acromioclavicular dislocation were treated by the Tension band and other 20 cases of the same suffering were treated by the Clavicular hook plant. All of the patients were followed up for 10-34 months. Then the effect of the Tension band and the Clavicular hook plate were compared. Results According to the Karlsson result evaluation , Tension band group: excellent 18cases, effective 6 cases, poor 4 cases, excellent plus effective rate 85.7%; Clavicular hook plate group excellent 12 cases, effective 5 cases, poor3 cases, excellent plus effective rate 85.0%. The above data indicated that there was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).
