ObjectiveTo evaluate the relationship between the clinical pathological factors and the micrometastasis of lymph nodes ( LN ) and the clinical pathological factors and the prognosis of patients with stage Dukes B colorectal cancer.MethodsThe micrometastasis of the lymph nodes was detected by the intermission -continuous section and CK20 immunohistochemistry technique, follow -up was performed for all the patients.ResultsThere is no relationships between the micrometastasis of lymph node and gender , age , position, gross type and the maximal - diameter of the tumor and there is the relationships with the differentiation of the tumor and the proportion of the circuit of the large intestine stage Dukes B; The 5 - year survival rates was 72. 2% in the negative group of micrometastasis,36. 7% in the positive group of the micrometastasis, the difference was significant statistically ( p < 0. 01). There was significant difference of the recurrence rate between the two groups (p <0.01).ConclusionHie method of conjointing the intermission - continuous - section and CK20 immunohistochemistry technique may be valuable to re-estimate the LN metastasis status and stage of colorectal cancer and predict the prognosis.
