Objective: To investigate the effect of valsartan on earaly-stage diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods: 90 patients were divided randomly into three groups:(1) the valsartan group take valsartan 80mg per day;(2)the ACEI group take benazepril 10mg per day and the controls take other Hypotensives. The levels of ET, NO,β2-Mg in peripheral blood and a1-MGNO,β2-Mg in peripheral blood and a 1-MG , ARER of urine(UAER) were determined by radio-immunological methods in pre-treatment and after six months' consistent theraph.Results: after treatment , The levels of β 2-Mg, ET, and UARE decreased significantly in the valsartan and ACEI groups .Blood NO level and the ratio of NO/ET were also higher then that pre-treatmen. In the controls, The levels of β2-Mg, ET, and UARE increased, in spite of central of blood pressure and glucose.Conlusion: valsartan is effective and saft in the treatment on earaly-stage in type 2 diabetic nephropathy...
