Objective In this study,we investigate the association between the ACE and AT1R gene polymorphisms with diabetic mellitus on molecular level ,and to explore related virulence gene. Methods The ACE and AT1R genotypes in the control group (40 subjects) and the study group(60 patients) is detected by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Results ① There was no significant difference in ACE genetypes,I/D allele frequency and DD/non DD genotype between the three groups.②In the control group, the female subgroup do not significantly differ from the male subgroup in the distribution of ACE gene ,AT1R gene and their allele frequency.③In the DM group, the female subgroup do not significantly differ from the male subgroup in the distribution of ACE gene,ATlR gene and their allele frequency. ④ In the DN group, the female subgroup do not significantly differ from the male subgroup in the distribution of ACE gene ,AT1R gene and their allele frequency.⑤There was no difference of AT1R genetype and the allele frequency between the DM and DN group, but significantly difference between the control group and the two study groups.⑥In the DN group, the ACE genetype and AT1R genetype do not related with albumin excretion rate. Conclusion ①ACE I/D genotype polymorphism has a negative association with DM and DN,DD genotype is not the risk factor of T2DM and DN,but DD genotype is more prevalent in patients of DM and DN. ②AT1R A1166C gene polymorphism is associated with T2DM and DN significantly.③In the DN group, the ACE genetype and AT1R genetype do not related with albumin excretion rate.D and C alleles were not the dangerous factor of urine albumin.
