Objective To explore the expression of NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4,MMP-9 and TIMP-2 in astrocytoma,and investigate the relevance of NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4,MMP-9 , TIMP-2 and several clinical factors in tumor malignant degree and relapse.Methods Fifty-four final diagnosis human astrocytoma (13 case of astrocytoma grade I,16 case of astrocytoma grade â…¡,14 case of astrocytoma grade â…¢,11 case of astrocytoma grade â…£).Normal brain tissues were from 10 case of internal decompression of brain trauma.The SP(Methods Streplavidin-Petvxidase) immunohistochemical staining method was used to examine the expression of NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4,MMP-9 and TIMP-2 in 54 human astrocytoma and 10 Normal brain tissues,the factors that can affect relapse we reevaluated.Results The expression of NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4 and MMP-9 was significantly different in distinct grade astrocytoma(P<0.05), But expression of TIMP-2 was no different in distinct grade astrocytoma(P>0.05).In the astrocytoma ,expression of NFï¼ÎºBp65 was related to expression of CDK4 (r=0.5694,P<0.05), also related to expression of MMP-9 (r=0.7261, P<0.05),and expression of CDK4 was also related to expression of MMP-9(r=0.6397, P<0.05).There was no relational between expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-2 (r=0.0567,P=0.684>0.05).The patients'age,tumor resections coverage,the malignant degree,radiotherapy,the expression of NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4,MMP-9 and TIMP-2 were correlated with relapse rate of one year by simplex factor Logistic analysis.The results of multivariate logistic analysis showed that the CDK4,MMP-9 and TIMP-2 expression were significantly correlated with relapse.In astrocytoma,the expression of CDK4 and MMP-9 was risk factor of tumor relapse,but the expression of TIMP-2 show as protective factor.Conclusions The expression of NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4 and MMP-9 were significantly correlated with astrocytoma malignant,but not TIMP-2.The NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4 and MMP-9's expression were recrudescent markers of astrocytoma.As the still deeper research of NFï¼ÎºBp65,CDK4,MMP-9 and TIMP-2 was accomplished,a new way which astrocytoma is treated by gene therapy will be found.
