Sleep is physiologically and psychologically necessary for the human body and a good sleep plays an important role in it's development However, because of the demand from the study, work and duties at night, sleep deprivation (SD) occurs more and more frequently. So the importance is attached to sleep deprivation in the fields of army, aviation and aerospace medicine, even transportation. In such condition, it is very important militarily and socially to study on the measures for reducing SD.Plateau environment possesses uniquely important strategic importance .But there is very little study on the continous work in the plateau condition what we can get usually is the data on the mountain climbing and exploration, and the utilization of the pressurized oxygen cabin and the pressurized oxygen masks.Plateau hypoxia and SD exert a serious effects on the military effectiveness.therefore,it is highly necessary to study the effective SD countermeasures in plateau condition .Inforeign countries, there are a lot of data on the SD while in our country ,this study is just beginning .TheSD countermeasures fall into two types : preventive countermeasures and the opeative ones .nap and a variety of duty shift belong to the preventive type and the pharmacological measures are of the operative one .Currently it is considered to be the best way to take the stimulants But when takingstimulants,w can find that the mote the stimulants .But when taking sitimulants the less the effects. So an ideal countermeasure which is well-agreeed universally has not been obtained .This thesis is aimed to study the efforts of different dose of caffeine against 30h SD at the altitude of 3700 and the effects of 30h SD at different altitudes. The experiment is divided into two parts: one is the effects of 30h SD at different altitude on cognitive ability; the other is the study of different dose of caffeine as countermeasures on the effects of 30h SD at the altitude of 3700m.In the first experiment, 14 male soldiers serving in the pllateua unit to be tested are divided into two groups randomly .The experiment goes through 5 stages .every stage lasts fiom 6 o'clock that day till 12 o'clock next day .The psychological test is conducted at interval .the test time is at 1,3,5, 7, 9 o'clock The test includes letter concellation, stroop and continuous calcuation. The second expeiment akso adopts randomly grouping. Twenty-two male soldiers saving in the Nachi Station is grouped into three teams. The experiment includes 5 sections. In each section, the timeframe of SD lasts from 6 o'clock that day till 12 o'clock next day, 30hours in total. At the first stage, 200mg caffeine is taken, at the third stage, 200mg caffeine is taken. The test for obtaining the initial data should be done prior to11 o'clock on the day before the experiment The soldiers to be tested should be told that they have taken caffeine in order to counteract the effects brought about by the experctation factor. The major results obtained from the experiment:1. 30h SD in the plateau condition may degrade the arousal level, vigilance and the cognitive and handling ability.2. LCT and Stroop tests show significant influence from altitude.3. Continuous calculation ability doesn't receive significant influence from altitude.4. There is not a significant difference between the test points at different altitudes.5. In plateau condition, caffeine (pure or small dose) against SD doesn't show significant effects. It is not the matter of quantity and the cognitive ability and vigilance can not improved remarkably this way.
