Seed of wild jujube is the dry mature seed of Ziziphus jujuba Mill.var.spenosa (Bunge) Hu ex H.f.Chou. It can nourish hepar, arrest sweating, promote fluid production and induce sedation. Jujuboside A , B, the most effective components of seed of wild jujube, have many pharmacological effects.The best extract process of Jujuboside was determined by comparing several methods. The seed of wild jujube was refluxed with methanol for 6 hours, abstracted with macroporous resin once 15ml and washed out with Ammonia solution. Then, the extracts I , II, III, IV were separated with silica gel column chromatography.To confirm the worth of seed of wild jujube, quantity of Jujuboside was analysis by HPLC-ELSD. Then the process of the stir-baked seed of wild jujube was optimized by orthogonal design. The result showed that the quantity of Jujubosides in raw seed had no significant difference from that in the stir-baked one.To study the quality of seed of Jujube and its preparation completely, the quantity of inorganic matter in plants , water content and extractives were analyzed. Jujuboside A, B were identified by TLC. The quantity of Jujuboside A and B were assayed respectively in 0, 1, 2, 3 , 6 , 12 months. The results indicated that without moth-eaten and mycotic infection, the stir-baked seed of wild jujube had stable component quantity in one year. This study made seed of wild jujube and its processed products have confirmed standard to be used in market and industrial production.
