The enamel surface is always in the dynatic balance of demineralizing and mineralizing in the oral cavity. As we all know, when mineralizing happens, demineralizing subsequently does . The mineral mineralized and the normal mineral are dissolved through demineralizing. And the proportion changes with age. From newborn to adult, the period of bone and tooth is that mineralizing is more than demineralizing; but from adult to agedness, the period is that demineralizing is more than mineralizing, which we calls The structure of enamel is same with that of hydroxyapatite . It's a kind of mixed biocrystal. The components are several kinds of phosphates. Besides hydroxyapatite, And in different conditions, they can transform each other from unstability to stability. The outside mineral can enter the enamel and restore the destroyed mixed crystal, which is the basis of the treatment of remineralizing. If only one kind of solid is separated out from the solution, the saturated solution will have sedimentation. But in the enamel, the phosphates can form different solid states. If only the concentration volume surpasses the dissolution volume of hydroxyapatite, it won't form hydroxyapatite. Whether in the laboratory or in the clinic, we all consider that when the early caries happens, i.e. there is only the loss of mineral without the essential loss of the enamel, the lesion can be reversed by changing the mineral saturation. However, the research of the demineralizing dynamics suggests that even the condition of mineralizing can be well controlled in vitro, the range that remineralizing involves is limited. Although the demineralized tissue can be remineralized limitedly, it can't be restored completely. All these are the generalized conclusion. Meantime, it suggests that we should find a new way and method of remineralizing treatment for caries. In this study, we treated the enamel surface by using the technique of airpolishing, then we transferred the calcium ion into the enamel by using ion exchange resin. And we regarded this was a better method. Positive ion exchange resin is a kind of compounded solid, which is a looped, porous and water-fast polymer with active ion. The ion released from the polar compound can exchange with the similar ion. And according to this quality, positive ion exchange resin is widely used in the medical field. It's used for medicine extraction, separation, purification, recycle, pharmacological analysis, slow releasing and drug in the clinic. The positive ion exchange resin we used in our experiment was crylic acid, and the granularity is 100 [mu]. The new ion exchange resin includes some inorganic and organic impurities. Hence, it has to be purified, dilated, transformed and regenerated for use. To discuss the function of ion exchange resin transferring calcium ion into the enamel and the effect of the ability of transferring calcium ion treated by ion exchange resin, we performed the following experiments: Experiment 1: We cut the enamel of every tooth into two pieces, and the total was 60. We had two groups. One was immersed in the solution of CaCl2, and it's as the control group; the other one was immersed in the NaCl solution including 45Ca ion exchange resin, and it's as the experiment group. Experiment 2: We cut the enamel of every tooth into two pieces, then we had two groups. One was the experiment group, in which the enamel surface was treated by airpolishing for 60s; the other was the control group without any treatment. What was left in the enamel piece was the natural side, and the other sides were smeared by white nail polish. They were straightly immersed in NaCl solution including 45Ca ion exchange resin respectively. Experiment 3: We cut the enamel of every tooth into two pieces. And we had two groups in term of sex and age. One was the experiment group, in which the enamel surface was treated by airpolishing for 60s; the other was the control group without any treatment. What was left in the enamel piece was the natural si...
