Objective:To study the clinical experiences and secrities of reduction of hyperextension and external fixation treatment of compression fracture of thoraco lumbar vertebrae. Menthods: 43 patients were divided into two groups. One group (20 cases) was treated by reduction by putting pillow, and the other (23 cases) was treated by reduction of hyperextension and external fixation. The compression ratio and reposition ratio, the curative effect and grade of the clinic symptom and style were noted and compared about all patients. Result: In the compression ratio and replacement ratio, the curative effect and grade of the clinic symptom and style,the group of treated by reduction of hyperextension and external fixation was be superior to the group of treated by reduction by putting pillow. There was significant difference (P<0.05). Cone I us i on:The menthod of treated by reduction of hyperextension and external fixation is security, operation easy, wide adaptability and fine curative effect. It has superiority to a certainty contrast to reduction by putting pillow.
