Objects:By comparing the clinical effects of fresh and simple thoracolumbar compression fractures treated with adjustable external fixation and fracture mixture taken orally with traditional Chinese medicine method and pillow-cushion method,to analyze and evaluate the clinical efficacy of adjustable external fixation with fracture mixture in the treatment of fresh compression fracture of thoracolumbar spine,to propose a new and effective treatment plan for the treatment of fresh and simple thoracolumbar vertebral compression fracture with traditional Chinese medicineMethods:This study collected data of patients with Thoracolumbar vertebral compression fracture from September 2017 to March 2019 at Suzhou Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine,according to the inclusion exclusion criteria,the 52 patients who met the requirements were divided into the experimental group(26 patients)and the Control Group(26 patients):the patients were treated with the adjustable external fixation of the CRISTA column combined with the Internal Administration of the fracture mixture within 1-2 weeks,the COBB’s angle,the height of anterior edge of the injured Vertebra,the height of the middle part of the injured Vertebra,the visual analogue scale(VAS)of pain and the lumbar dysfunction score(ODI)were measured before and after treatment(1 day,2 months and 1 year after treatment),the data were processed and analyzed by statistical software to evaluate the clinical effect of the two treatments on fresh thoracolumbar compression fractures.Results:(1)The results showed that both methods could improve the appearance of Kyphosis and Kyphosis in patients with fresh thoracolumbar vertebral compression fracture,and 7.72±2.19 after treatment in the experimental group,after treatment,Cobb’s angle of the vertebral body was 9.29±1.97 in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant by independent sample t test(P<0.05).(2)The results showed that the recovery rate of the high anterior edge of the injured vertebra was 78.05±7.51 after treatment,and the recovery rate of the high anterior edge of the injured vertebra was 78.05±7.51 after treatment,the recovery rate of the anterior edge height of the injured vertebrae in the control group was 73.50±6.43.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05).(3)The high recovery rate of the middle part of the injured Vertebra was compared before and after treatment,the results showed that the high recovery rate of the middle part of the injured Vertebra was 83.18±6.25 after treatment in the experimental group,in the control group,the recovery rate of midline height was 79.43±4.02,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05).(4)Visual analogue scale(VAS)of lumbar pain:Before and after treatment,the patients’pain degree was significantly improved,1 day after treatment,4.2010.91 in the test group and 4.75±0.94 in the control group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05).Two months after treatment,2.08±0.64 in the test group and 2.58±0.50 in the control group,1.08±0.40 in the test group and 1.20±0.46 in the control group,there was no significant difference between the two groups(p>0.05).(5)Lumbar dysfunction score(ODI)comparison:Before and after treatment,the results showed that the quality of life of the patients improved significantly after treatment;1 day after treatment,32.12±2.98 in the test group and 34.00±4.28 in the control group,after 2 months of treatment,there was no significant difference(p>0.05)between the two groups,12.72±1.97 in the test group and 14.33±3.66 in the control group.One year after treatment,9.76±1.09 in the test group and 10.96±2.26 in the control group.The data of the two groups were examined by independent sample t test,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:(1)For patients with fresh thoracolumbar compression fractures,the two treatments significantly improved the local pain relief,kyphosis correction,and the recovery rate of vertebral height;(2)After treatment and 2 months after treatment,the test group was better than the control group in relieving local pain,and the ODI score was better than the Control Group 1 year after treatment;(3)In the treatment of 2 months and 1 year,the experimental group had an advantage in improving daily life;(4)For the patients with simple thoracolumbar compression fractures who are suitable for conservative treatment or who refuse surgical treatment,the combination of the adjustable external fixation device and the fracture mixture has a remarkable therapeutic effect,and it is a conservative treatment scheme that can be chosen for clinic,it is worthy of clinical application.
