Clinical Studieson Treating CAA OF Insufficency Of Spleen And Kindney-yang With Xuefusheng

Aplastic anemia(AA) is a sort of syndrome characterized by peripheral blood pancytopenia in association with which damage of stem cell of bone marrow and hematopoietic microenviroment on account of various factors(chemistry, physicsN biology and so on) with the result that concentric atrophy of red pulp replaced by fat marrow. There are no malignant cells and proliferation of argyrophilic fibers in bone marrow. Incidence rate of acute aplastic anemia (AAA) fluctuates obviously about age and gender, but of chronic aplastic anemia(CAA)raale is higher than female, and obvious peak at Old-age (50~60 years old) of CAA (includes male and female). The respective incidence rate of Acute and Chronic Aplastic Anemia is 0.14 and 0.6 in 100 thousand per year. Recent epideraiological study makes clear that incidence rate of AA has ascending tendency. That mortality of AAA is very high and CAA defers and repeatedly attacks is still one of the problems puzzling medical domain.The research status of CAA manifests that treatment of CAA by TCM integrating with West Medicine has good perspective. We observed the clinical therapeutic effect which Xuefusheng treated CAA of Insufficiency of Spleen-Kidney-yang, and probed into the mechanism of treatment on the levels of cell and molecule.Clinical studies Objective: To observe Xuefusheng having effect on the disease of CAA patients. Methods: 40 CAA patients were at random divided into TCM group (20 cases, treated by TCM integrating with west medicine) and control group (20 cases, treated by west medicine) , and were treated six months.We observed the clinical therapeutic effect of Xuefusheng treating CAA, and the effects on reducing androgens dosage, peripheral blood routine,Ret, bone marrow proliferative status, CD4+/CD8+. Results: TCM group is significantly superior to the control group in some aspects, such as the total effectiveness rate (85.0%), improving some syndroms ( fatigue, bleeding ) ,improving peripheral blood routine, decreasing dosage of androgens, alleviating its side-effects, and decreasing the rate of CAA relapse (in one year) .Conclusion: Xuefusheng treating CAA of Insufficiency Of Spleen-Kidney-yang has good therapeutic effect, adjusting cytokine levels,helping to reducing dosage of androgens, decreasing the rate of CAA relapse, redounding to level off thestate of CAA, and alleviating the side-effects of west medicine.We consider that Insufficiency of kidney is the root of CAA coming on, Insufficiency Of Spleen-kidney-yang is the key to the pathomechanism of CAA, and warming the kidney and strengthening spleen is the basic method of treatment. Clinical studies indicate that Xuefusheng treats CAA of Insufficiency Of Spleen-kidney-yang probably by adjusting cytokine levels.
