Objectives: To observe the frequency of hypertension and hypotension during hemodialysis sessions between different aged patients, and to analyse the relationship between blood pressure and adequacy and the ultrafiltration volume (UFV),and ultrafiltration/body weight (UFV/W), and ultrafiltration/body surface area (UFV/M).Methods: We observed 610 hemodialysis sessions in 29 patients who maitenance hemodialysis in our hospital. 29 patients were randomined into the old aged group and the younger aged group. Record the values of systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, ultrafiltration, weight, high. Calculate Kt/V, UFV/W, UFV/M.Results: The frequency of hypotension in the old aged group was significantly higher compared with that in the younger aged group(P<0.05). in the old aged group, the ultrafiltration incureased significantly while hypotension occurred(P<0.05).(2004)The occurrence of hypertension was not related with the increase of ultrafiltration(P>0. 05). There was linear regression between Kt/V and UFV/M(R=0.209 T=4.594 P<0.05). Conclusion: The marked increase of UFV , UFV/W and UFV/M during hemodialysis was a key in the occurrence of hypotension, especially in the elderly patients. The occurrence of hypertension was not related with the increase of UFV. UFV/M was a better maker to adjust ultrafiltration.
