objective The present study was designed to analysis and compare the relationship of the serum BNP from arteria and vein with heart failure in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: ELASI was uesd to analysis serum concertration of BNP at aortic root and median cubital vein in CHD patients with cardiac function NYHA II ~ IV (n=42), whereas normal control group (n=20)contained volunteers without any disease. Left ventricular function in 42 CHD patients were evaluated by Echocardiography, including Co. EF. Fs and VE. VA. VE/VA. Coronary arteriography was used to evaluated the degree and number of Coronary artery branch stenosis. Results 1. The serum BNPv concentration of CHD HF group were significantly higher than those of normal controlled group (P < 0.0001 =, there were significantly difference between each heart failure classification and the severier the heart failure was the higher serum BNPv concentration is. 2. The BNPA were significantly higher than BNPv in the same classification of CHD HF (P< 0.0001 = and the higher the classification were, the higher the BNPA. BNPv were. 3. The Serum BNPA and BNPv concentration had a significant correlation with cardiac function BNPA(EF r=-0. 742** FS r=-0. 571** VA r=0. 698** VE/VAi-0. 750**), BNPV(EF r-0.544** FS r=-0.436** VA r=0.526**VE/V r=-0.667** ).The r of BNPA was higher that of BNPv. 4. The degree and number of coronary artery branch stenosis had a significant correlation with cardiac function, the degree of coronary stenosis (BNPA r=0.656** BNPV r-0.532** EF r=-0.574** FS r=-0.509 ** VA r=0.381* VE/VA r=-O.561**) ,the number of coronary artery branch stenosis (BNPAr=0.460** BNPv r=0.388** EF r=-0.460** FS r=-0.360 VAr=0.466**VE/VAr=-0.514**). Conclusion 1. The serum BNPv concentration of CHD HF is higher thancontrolled group, according to the severity of heart failure classified by NYHA classification. 2. The BNPA of CHD HF is higher than BNPv according to the severity of heart failure classified by NYHA classification. 3. The more degree and number of Coronary artery branch stenosis, the more serious the heart failure, and the higher BMV BNPv.
